The Role: Creates the strategic direction of supply chain and customer-oriented process to maximize customer satisfaction, while optimizing cost effectiveness and inventory levels. Hires, trains, motivates, leads, develops, and evaluates staff. Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Ensures compliance with current federal, state, and local regulations. Consults with Human Resources Department as appropriate. Informs personnel of communications, decisions, policies, and all matters that affect their performance, attitudes, and results. Assists Senior Director, Operations in the development and formulation of long and short-range planning, policies, programs, and objectives related to Supply Chain activities. Serves as the escalation point for both customer and supplier issues and complaints, including those issues that may affect the on-time and cost-effective supply of product. Works with the Business Development Team to develop innovative supply chain processes that provide market differentiation, capacity planning, and S&OP. Develops and sustains customer relationships through direct interaction, responsiveness, and accountability. Maintain open communication with customers using appropriate tools as necessary. Designs and implements new or improved systems and processes to drive improvement in levels of customer satisfaction. Is responsible for driving performance to target in the key indicators for supply chain-oriented measures. Directs the supply chain team to manage customer services, product delivery schedules, sales order processing, demand management, SI&OP, MPS, materials supply management, procurement, artwork change management, capacity planning, manufacturing work order generation, supply chain reporting and supply chain related JDE data. Creates and supports, the implementation and execution of best practice processes such as Lean, Six Sigma, CAPA, ERP/JDE, SIOP. Maintains effectiveness of the Quality System components relevant to this position. Provides key input and reports that support financial revenue budget and reporting. Responsible for the data integrity, management and communication of all supply related plans and schedules at the Bloomington facility. Drives compliance with all applicable corporate and regulatory SOP and cGMP guidelines for their area of responsibility. Leads team members to improve and reinforce performance of others. Takes responsibility for direct reports' performance by setting clear goals and expectations, tracking progress against the goals, ensuring constructive feedback, and addressing performance-related concerns and issues promptly. Works with, coaches, and supports direct reports in developing knowledge, skills, and abilities in the interest of performance improvement and employee's career development. Develops and executes functional or departmental strategy to achieve key business objectives The Candidate: Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field, with at least 12+ years of progressively increasing managerial experience in customer service/supply chain. Master's Degree in related field is preferred. Qualification equivalent to APICS certification a strong advantage. Thorough and proven experience of ERP and supply chain systems. 8 years GMP experience Direct ERP Implementation experience an advantage. Proven project management experience. Proven experience of global supply chain management. Direct experience of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
