Design Engineer - Project Engineering Forms+Surfaces is looking for Design Engineer - Project Engineering to join our team! Job Location: Pune Plant - Lonikand, Near Wagholi Company Overview Forms+Surfaces designs and manufactures architectural products used in public spaces around the world. From walls and elevator interiors to site furnishings and lighting, our line invites creativity and provides real-world solutions to the challenges our customers face. Scope and responsibilities: Design and develop Levele CAB / Wall systems / Door/column engineering with operations in Pune, supporting USA manufacturing and customer service teams. Provide support to India’s manufacturing plant. BOQ preparations, manufacturing drawings, customer service drawings, etc. Updation of company’s ERP (M2M) systems and workflow. Required qualification, skills and experiences: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering & any professional courses in designing will be an added advantage. Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in Drafting, solid modeling, design detailing in 2D-3D modeling with software's like AutoCAD and Solid works. At least 3+ years of hands-on experience in AutoCAD Experience in Sheet Metal Fabrication Design and Facade Design is preferable. Good knowledge and hands on experience of drawing presentation, critical dimensioning, view presentations and parts list preparation. Good knowledge and hands on experience on advance assemblies and layouts with GD&T, surface finishes, welding details and engineering notes. Good knowledge of concept design with manufacturing feasibilities. Good knowledge of casting drawing understanding and preparation. Good knowledge of material selection, bought out parts selection, hardware/fasteners selection. Experience in working with multiple discipline projects (Multitasked). Must have exposure of shop floor activities like drawing releases & design troubleshooting. Must have knowledge of manufacturing processes like laser cutting, bending, punching, welding, water jet, surface treatments, basic machining. Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal, written, and presentation skills). Working knowledge of ERP system. Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment is essential, with a high degree of flexibility and tolerance of change. Basic understanding of ISO design requirements.
