FMS Vendor shall provide support for the maintenance & management of various databases like Oracle, Sybase, MS SQL, etc, installed in all servers/applications under envisages SAP/IT Projects FMS Vendors Responsibilities shall include but not limited to the following a. Undertake end-to-end management changes to database on an ongoing basis to ensure smooth functioning b. Undertake tasks including managing changes to database schemes, disk space, storage, and user roles c. Setting and tuning system parameters, d. Administration & management of Oracle Data Guard, MS-SQL Log shipping etc, replication tools between DC Raipur to DRC Bilaspur. e. Management of BCV/Secondary copy server at both DC-DRC locations by mounting and testing thoroughly for respective databases f. Monitoring & managing growth of info-structure, tables, indexes, segments, partition, etc., g. Database monitoring, table alteration and index rebuild h. Table reorganization, space and redo log management i. Update statistics, check database, cleanup logs and standard jobs scheduling and monitoring j. Building apporopriate indexes, specifying large enough buffers and caches, aligning the database implementation with IT infrastructure, monitoring applications, reorganizing databases etc, k. Manage database upgrade or patch upgrade as and when required with minimal downtime
