What You'll Do The ideal candidate for the Sr. DevOps Engineer role will be responsible for working within an agile team framework to both implement and support cloud-native applications built for the Azure cloud. This person must have experience in the following areas: Strong experience working with serverless technologies in public clouds (with a preference for Microsoft Azure) Strong experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions Strong experience with infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in Microsoft’s Bicep IaC language. Terraform/CloudFormation experience is also relevant. Strong experience designing and configuring cloud networking (AWS/Azure/GCP). Ideal candidate will also have experience and a thorough understanding of core networking concepts such as DNS, routing, etc… Strong experience designing and configuring cloud storage (AWS S3, Azure Storage Accounts/Blobs/Tables/etc…) Responsibilities: Writing code to create and improve IaC automation pipelines Review and design system architecture Participate in scrum activities to plan, prioritize and report on product state Candidate must have 5 years of experience working in a DevOps role supporting cloud products and services. Scripting/coding experience required Application Performance Management/Monitoring experience a plus Experience in microservice architectures a plus Experience in traditional network administration a plus Experience in traditional databae administration a plus What You May Need to be Successful Bachelor's degree or equivalent real world work experience. 7+ years of total and relevant experience. Ability to manage priorities and tasks to meet deadlines and accomplish goals Demonstrated ability in defining and implementing process improvements with a focus on leading edge technology Effective communication skills for gaining understanding, support, and compliance from both executive and junior audiences Strong collaboration skills Technical acumen to convert plans into real solutions Customer focused individual who must be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and effectively collaborate across teams Must be detailed oriented and able to provide superior level of customer service to employees and colleagues Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills required Must be self-motivated, highly organized with the ability to prioritize independently while demonstrating a sense of urgency Ability to produce accurate work under pressure with frequent deadlines Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise independent judgment in the performance of duties Ability to manage change effectively, always mindful of technology, business processes and systems implication Exception written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with management, technical peers, and business stakeholder.
