The job description for this role typically includes the following responsibilities and qualifications: Responsibilities: Microarchitecture Design: Design and develop the microarchitecture of CPU cores, accelerators, memory subsystems, and other components of computer processors and SoCs. Performance Optimization: Optimize microarchitectural designs for performance, power efficiency, area utilization, and other key metrics, considering design constraints and objectives. Instruction Set Architecture (ISA): Define and refine the instruction set architecture (ISA) of processor cores, including instruction encoding, pipeline stages, execution units, and memory hierarchy. Pipeline Design: Design and optimize the pipeline structure of processor cores, including instruction fetch, decode, execute, memory access, and write-back stages, to achieve high performance and efficiency.
