Job Description :- You will be responsible for leading a team of server administrators, ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and security of our server infrastructure.- You will be a technical expert with a strong ability to manage and troubleshoot complex server issues.- Additionally, you will possess excellent leadership and communication skills to mentor and motivate your team members.Responsibilities:- Lead a team of server administrators in the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of servers.- Manage and prioritize server workloads, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of issues.- Implement and enforce server security policies and procedures.- Perform server maintenance activities, including patching, commissioning, and decommissioning.- Monitor server performance and identify potential issues for proactive resolution.- Automate server tasks through scripting (PowerShell preferred).- Manage Active Directory OU structure and user permissions.- Manage user data migrations and system configurations.- Troubleshoot and resolve server issues in both Windows and Linux environments.- Manage and implement patching schedules for Windows, Linux, and Unix servers.- Implement and manage Medium and High-risk changes in the server environment.- Participate in incident bridge calls to diagnose and resolve server issues.- Manage and prioritize server-related tickets within a ticketing tool.- Install, uninstall, and manage licenses for server software.- Perform remote server troubleshooting using diagnostic tools and clear questioning techniques.- Document server configurations and procedures.- Mentor and train team members on best practices for server administration.- Maintain a keen eye for detail and accuracy in all tasks performed.- Adhere to a flexible work schedule, including potential rotational shifts, US shifts, night shifts, and weekend work (depending on company needs).Skills :Essential :- 5+ years of experience in a Windows/Compute environment.- Experience managing and troubleshooting Windows and Linux laptops and desktops.Experience with :- Active Directory OU management.- PowerShell scripting.- Azure Active Directory.- AWS Cloud.- User data migrations.- Server maintenance (troubleshooting, commissioning, decommissioning).- User system issue troubleshooting (CPU utilization, etc.) Virtualization (VMware, ESXi)- Scheduled patching of Windows and Linux/Unix servers Linux/Unix server administration.- Implementing Medium and High-risk changes in an IT environment.- Planning and implementing server and workstation patching.- Incident bridge call participation for troubleshooting.- VDI environment experience.- Working with ticketing tools.- Software installation, uninstallation, and license management.- Remote troubleshooting via diagnostics and questioning.- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and listening) in English.- Keen attention to detail.- Flexibility for rotational shifts/US shifts/night shifts/weekend work.- 100% Work from Office (may be negotiable depending on company policy).Nice to Have :- Problem-solving skills.- Multi-tasking skills.Professional Qualifications :- 5+ years of Windows server experience.- 3+ years of Linux/Unix experience.Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (required).
