Job Description : - We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scala Architect to join our team.- The ideal candidate will have 12 to 15 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Scala programming language and related technologies.- As a Scala Architect, you will be responsible for designing and architecting scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions using Scala and other functional programming principles.- This role requires deep technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and mentor teams in delivering complex software projects. Responsibilities : Technical Leadership : - Provide technical leadership and guidance in designing, architecting, and implementing Scala-based solutions.- Lead and mentor development teams in adopting best practices, design patterns, and coding standards. Architecture Design : - Design and architect scalable, reliable, and high-performance software solutions using Scala programming language and related technologies.- Define system architecture, components, modules, and interfaces to meet business requirements and technical goals. Hands-on Development : - Participate in hands-on development activities, including coding, code reviews, and debugging, to ensure the quality and integrity of software deliverables.- Leverage Scala and functional programming principles to implement efficient and elegant solutions. Scalability and Performance Optimization : - Optimize software architecture and design for scalability, performance, and efficiency.- Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations to enhance system throughput and response times. Collaboration and Communication : - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and quality assurance, to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.- Communicate technical concepts and architectural decisions effectively to stakeholders. Continuous Improvement : - Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Scala development and functional programming.- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance development processes, tools, and techniques. Problem Solving and Troubleshooting : - Analyze complex technical problems, propose innovative solutions, and troubleshoot issues as they arise during the development lifecycle.- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve technical challenges. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing : - Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and guidelines.- Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions and mentorship programs to transfer technical knowledge to team members. Requirements : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.- Master's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.- 12 to 15 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Scala programming language and functional programming principles.- Proven experience in designing and architecting scalable, reliable, and high-performance software solutions using Scala.- In-depth knowledge of Scala language features, libraries, frameworks, and tools such as Akka, Play Framework, and ScalaTest.- Experience with distributed computing frameworks such as Apache Spark and Apache Kafka.- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and microservices architecture.- Proficiency in designing and optimizing software systems for scalability, performance, and reliability.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.- Leadership qualities, including the ability to lead and mentor development teams, drive technical initiatives, and make strategic decisions.- Hands-on experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.Educational Qualifications : Bachelor's/Master's (ref:hirist.tech)
