Job Description : - We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience to join our team.- The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Oracle database technologies and proven expertise in managing complex database environments.- As an Oracle DBA, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our organization's Oracle databases.Responsibilities : Database Installation and Configuration :- Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and related products.Database Design and Maintenance : - Design and implement database structures, schemas, and objects.- Perform database maintenance tasks such as backup and recovery, data migration, and space management.Performance Tuning : - Monitor and optimize database performance by analyzing system resource utilization, query execution plans, and database statistics.- Implement performance tuning strategies to improve database efficiency and response times.Security Management :- Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures.- Manage user access controls, roles, and privileges.- Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.Backup and Recovery : - Develop and implement database backup and recovery strategies.- Perform regular backups and test recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.High Availability and Disaster Recovery :- Configure and manage high availability solutions such as Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Data Guard.- Implement disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and data loss.Database Monitoring and Troubleshooting : - Monitor database performance and availability using monitoring tools and utilities.- Identify and resolve database issues and errors in a timely manner.Patch Management : - Apply database patches, updates, and patches to maintain system stability and security.- Plan and coordinate patching activities to minimize downtime and disruption to operations.Capacity Planning : - Monitor database growth and resource utilization trends.- Forecast future capacity requirements and plan for scalability and expansion as needed.Documentation and Reporting : - Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and operational processes.- Generate regular reports on database performance, availability, and security compliance.Requirements : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.- 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Administrator in a production environment.- Expertise in Oracle database installation, configuration, and administration.- In-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture, concepts, and features.- Proficiency in Oracle database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization.- Strong understanding of database security principles and best practices.- Experience with Oracle high availability solutions such as RAC and Data Guard.- Familiarity with database backup and recovery techniques and tools.- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.- Oracle certification (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional) is a plus.
