Here at Awign we are changing how the world works with a vision to uplift millions of Careers.About the Role : Duration : 6 monthsTimings : Full Time (As per company timings)Notice Period : (Immediate Joiner - Required)Location : PuneWe are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist specialized in Demand forecasting.- The candidate should have extensive experience in handling large-scale datasets, building robust forecasting models for long-term predictions (1, 3, and 5 years), and proficiency in Python programming.- The role entails a blend of exploratory data analysis (EDA), Feature engineering, model development, testing, and deployment in a fast-paced environment.Job Profile : Data Scientist (Time Series Forecasting)Responsibilities : 1. Data Preparation and Exploration : 2. Model Development : - Design and implement advanced time series forecasting models tailored to specific business needs.- Utilize statistical methods, machine learning techniques, and deep learning architectures for model development.- Optimize model performance through feature engineering, hyper parameter tuning, and model selection.3. Validation and Testing : - Develop rigorous testing frameworks to evaluate model accuracy, robustness, and reliability.- Perform backtesting and cross-validation to assess the generalization capability of the models.4. Long-Term Forecasting : - Develop forecasting models capable of predicting future trends over extended long periods- Incorporate external factors, seasonal patterns, and macroeconomic indicators into the forecasting models.5. Model Deployment and Monitoring : - Deploy models into production environments, ensuring scalability and efficiency.- Implement monitoring mechanisms to track model performance, drift detection, and recalibration as necessary.6. Documentation and Communication : - Document methodologies, assumptions, and findings for reproducibility and knowledge sharing.Qualifications : - Proven experience (3+ years) in developing time series forecasting models, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.- Proficiency in Python programming and data manipulation libraries (e. g. Pandas, NumPy).- Strong understanding of statistical methods ( ARIMA, SARIMA, LSTM, De-composition etc), machine learning algorithms, and deep learning frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch).- Experience with distributed computing frameworks (e.g. Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g. AZURE, Block Storage etc) is desirable.- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.- Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
