Job Description:- We are seeking a skilled Java GCP Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of our Payments Data Platform within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).- The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing project-specific development activities, ensuring adherence to applicable standards and quality parameters.- They will own and deliver end-to-end projects within GCP, including setting up the right environment and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining engineering and quality standards.- Additionally, the candidate will provide support on a rotating on-call basis and possess basic knowledge of payments, ISO standards, and message types.Key Responsibilities:Development Execution:- Execute project-specific development activities according to applicable standards and quality parameters.- Develop and review code to ensure functionality, efficiency, and adherence to best practices.Environment Setup:- Set up the appropriate environment for projects, ensuring compatibility and efficiency.Delivery Management:- Ensure delivery within schedule by adhering to engineering and quality standards.- Own and deliver end-to-end projects within GCP for the Payments Data Platform.Support and Maintenance:- Provide support on a rotating on-call basis (24/7) for GCP-related issues and incidents.- Handle P1 violations and incidents promptly and effectively.Technical Expertise:- Demonstrate basic knowledge of payments, ISO standards, and message types.- Have hands-on experience in Java and GCP, with knowledge of Shell scripting and Python as a plus.Java Development and GCP Skills:- Possess in-depth knowledge of Java programming and Spring Boot framework.- Experience in GCP services such as Data Flow, Big Table, and Big Query.- Familiarity with managing large databases and implementing event-driven and near real-time data patterns.Agile Methodology:- Follow Agile ways of working, being flexible and adaptable to changing requirements and priorities.Production Support:- Support developed code in the production environment as per Agile development methodology.Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years focused on Java and GCP.- Strong proficiency in Java programming and Spring Boot framework.- Experience with GCP services such as Data Flow, Big Table, and Big Query.- Knowledge of Shell scripting and Python is a plus.- Familiarity with payments, ISO standards, and message types.- Ability to work under pressure and handle P1 violations and incidents effectively.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
