Job Title: R Programmer/Data AnalystJob Description:We are seeking a talented and motivated R Programmer/Data Analyst to join our team. As an R Programmer/Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing large datasets, developing statistical models, and creating data visualizations using the R programming language. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, design analytical solutions, and deliver actionable insights to drive decision-making.Responsibilities:- Analyze complex datasets using statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms in R.- Develop, implement, and maintain R scripts and packages for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and visualization.- Clean, preprocess, and transform raw data into formats suitable for analysis and modeling.- Build predictive models, clustering algorithms, and classification algorithms to solve business problems.- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in the data.- Create interactive data visualizations and dashboards using R packages such as ggplot2, Shiny, and Plotly.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.- Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and interactive dashboards.- Work closely with data engineers to optimize data pipelines and ensure data quality and integrity.- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in R programming, statistical modeling techniques, and data visualization tools.- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and team members.- Contribute to the development and maintenance of data analysis best practices, standards, and methodologies.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field. Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) preferred.- Proven experience in data analysis and statistical modeling using R programming language.- Strong proficiency in R programming and familiarity with R packages for data manipulation (e.g., dplyr, tidyr), statistical analysis (e.g., stats), and data visualization (e.g., ggplot2).- Experience with machine learning techniques and algorithms (e.g., linear regression, logistic regression, decision trees, random forests, SVM) in R.- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.- Solid understanding of data structures, data modeling, and database concepts.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with other programming languages such as Python or SQL.- Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Hive.- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative coding environments.- Knowledge of data visualization tools and libraries such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib/seaborn in Python.- Experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed computing environments.- Certifications in data science, machine learning, or related fields (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Scientist Associate, Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate).
