You will create and maintain technical documentation to ensure that your most complex information is easy for users to understand. We're searching for an experienced technical writer to join our team and help take our client-focused services to new heights. The ideal candidate will have proven success in a highly technical field, such as software development, computer science, or engineering. Also important in this role are an ability to evaluate and analyze complex information and a natural desire to help people understand it.Job Responsibilities : - Develop, write, and update comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, guides, and online help systems. - Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts : Work closely with engineers, developers, and other subject matter experts to gather information and ensure the accuracy and relevance of technical content. Translate Technical Information : Translate complex technical concepts into clear and accessible documentation for a diverse audience, including end-users and other stakeholders. - Stay Informed about Industry Trends : Keep abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and product updates to accurately represent the latest information in technical documentation. - Review and Edit Documentation : Review, edit, and proofread documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to company standards.- Use Documentation Tools : Utilize documentation tools and software to create, manage, and publish technical documentation. - Contribute to Process Improvement : Provide insights and suggestions for improving documentation processes, tools, and overall efficiency.Job Requirements :- Three or more years of experience as an effective technical writer- Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter- Experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences- Superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail- Experience in working with engineers to improve user experience (ex: design, UI), refine content, and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously- Bachelor's degree in relevant technical field with experience in software development- Degree or diploma in journalism or communications is an advantage- Firm understanding of SDLC (systems development lifecycle)- Professional certification (ex: Society for Technical Communication) is an advantage- Experience in using XML tools to create documentation (ref:hirist.tech)
