Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced System Administrator to join our IT team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of our critical infrastructure, including web applications, networks, servers, and user accounts.Responsibilities :Server Administration :- Install, configure, and maintain web servers, application servers, and database servers.- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as patching, backups, and disaster recovery.- Monitor server performance and identify potential issues.Network Administration :- Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.- Configure network security policies and access controls.- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network connectivity issues.Web Application Management :- Support the deployment, configuration, and operation of web applications.- Troubleshoot web application issues and ensure optimal performance.User Management :- Manage user accounts and access permissions on various systems.- Utilize Active Directory, eDirectory, or OpenLDAP for user authentication.- Implement Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions using Digested Token, SAML 1. 1, or SAML 2.0.Technical Support :- Provide technical support to internal users for resolving system-related issues.- Document procedures and troubleshoot technical problems efficiently.Technical Expertise :- Possess strong knowledge of web applications, networks, protocols, and email services (SMTP, POP3).- Understand web technologies like XML, HTML, Javascript, AJAX, CSS, and HTTP.- Experience with LDAP directories (Active Directory, eDirectory, OpenLDAP) is essential.- Knowledge of Single Sign-On (SSO) protocols (Digested Token, SAML) is a plus.Qualifications : - 3-5 years of experience in system administration with a solid understanding of network and server administration.- Experience working with web servers, application servers, and database servers.- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols and network security concepts.- Experience with Active Directory, eDirectory, or OpenLDAP for user management.- Familiarity with Single Sign-On (SSO) protocols is a plus.- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and users.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.- A strong work ethic and a commitment to continuous learning.
