Description:
Roles and Responsibilities :- Manage and administer Oracle databases on AWS RDS (Relational Database Service) platform.- Ensure the availability, security, and performance of Oracle databases running on AWS infrastructure.- Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and patches.- Configure and monitor database performance, optimizing queries and indexes as needed.- Implement and maintain database security measures in accordance with AWS best practices and compliance standards.- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, connectivity problems, and data corruption.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain database solutions that meet business requirements.- Plan and execute database migrations, upgrades, and expansions as necessary.- Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.- Stay informed about the latest AWS services, features, and best practices related to Oracle database management.Mandatory Skills :- Extensive experience as an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA), preferably in an AWS environment.- Proficiency in managing Oracle databases on AWS RDS.- Strong understanding of database performance tuning, backup and recovery strategies, and security practices.- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.- AWS certification (e.g. AWS Certified Database - Specialty) is a plus.
