Job Responsibilities :We are looking for a Lead Data Scientist with a strong background in content engineering, natural language processing, data mining, machine learning, and statistics to join the Data Science Lab. If you are passionate about building sound solutions to hard problems at scale, you will love this role! The candidate should be able to work closely with other Principal Data Scientists and mentor junior data scientists in their team, while collaborating productively with our engineering, product, marketing, content, and business teams. The responsibilities for this role would be as follows :- Project Management : Lead data scientist often involved in setting project goals, defining timelines, resource planning, and ensuring that project is delivered on time.- Collaboration : Lead data scientist collaborates closely with other teams within the organization, such as engineering, brand management, design, and product team to effectively solve problems and achieve common goals.- Technical Leadership : Lead data scientist is expected to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and technology and mentor junior data scientists in their team.- Execution : As a lead data scientist, you're entrusted with owning and driving critical parts of projects, taking a hands-on approach to coding and exploration.The skillset/qualifications required for this role are as follows :- Minimum of 7+ years experience in Data Science. - Bachelors / Masters / Ph. D. degree in the field of Data Science / Computer Science / Information technology. - Minimum one year of experience as a team lead of Data Scientists. Must Have : - Python programming - Deployment of the data science services at a large scale. - Exploratory data analysis.- Training Deep Learning models and their deployments. - NLP / NLU or Computer vision. - Mathematics of Machine Learning Statistics and probability. - NoSQL and SQL databases. - Version control system. - CI/CD pipeline. - Data Structures and algorithms. Preferred to have : - Search and retrieval system knowledge (Elasticsearch, Solar, Milvus)- Processing data at a scale. - Distributed systems. - Productizing the machine learning problems. - Patent / Publication in national / international peer-reviewed journals / conferences. EdTech experience is a plus. - Knowledge of Apache Spark/Hadoop and EcoSystem tools is a plus. - The candidate will be given preference if he/she has Participated in Kaggle or similar platforms. - Contributed to open-source projects (ref:hirist.tech)
