Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer with a strong background in automation testing, particularly in Selenium with Java. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of total experience in automation testing, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience specifically in Selenium automation using Java. Experience with Cucumber and GIT is mandatory for this role. The Automation Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java to test web-based applications.- Design and implement automation frameworks and strategies to support efficient and effective test automation.- Collaborate with QA and development teams to understand software requirements, identify test scenarios, and develop automated test scripts accordingly.- Execute automated test scripts, analyze test results, and report defects to ensure the quality of software products.- Integrate automated tests into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins.- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality, maintainable automation code.- Utilize Cucumber for behavior-driven development (BDD) and create feature files, step definitions, and scenarios for automated tests.- Manage test scripts and test data in version control systems such as GIT.- Troubleshoot automation script failures and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.- Stay updated on the latest automation testing tools, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the automation process.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.- 5-8 years of experience in automation testing, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Selenium automation using Java.- Strong Java coding skills with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles.- Experience with automation frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit.- Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver for automated web application testing.- Experience with Cucumber for behavior-driven development (BDD) and creating feature files, step definitions, and scenarios.- Hands-on experience with version control systems, particularly GIT.- Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools like Jenkins.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot automation script failures.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
