About the Role :We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst (BA) to join our team and play a vital role in the development and testing of core banking system (CBS) applications. You will leverage your in-depth knowledge of the banking domain and expertise in requirements analysis to bridge the gap between business and technology.Responsibilities :- Analyze business requirements for CBS applications across various modules (deposits, payments, loans, etc.)- Collaborate with stakeholders (business users, product managers, developers, testers) to understand needs and define system functionalities- Analyze Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications (FSDs), Technical Design Documents (TDDs), and user manuals to comprehend system capabilities- Translate business requirements into clear, concise, and testable user stories- Facilitate workshops to define project scope, testing requirements, and conduct application walkthroughs for the team- Provide input to the development and testing teams for creating comprehensive test plans- Develop and maintain traceability matrices to ensure requirements are mapped to test cases- Review testware (test plans, test cases) prepared by offshore testers- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and client business teams for further review and ensure test coverage aligns with business needs- Analyze defects raised against requirements, ensure they are valid and prioritize them- Participate in defect meetings to discuss and resolve identified issues- Guide the QA team in creating and updating the testware repository for future use and knowledge sharingRequirements :- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong focus on the banking domain- In-depth understanding of CBS functionalities across various modules (deposits, payments, loans, etc.)- Proven ability to gather and analyze business requirements- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively bridge the gap between business and technical teams- Experience in creating and maintaining Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), User Stories, and other requirements artifacts- Proficiency in using traceability matrix tools- Experience with software development methodologies (Agile preferred)- Experience in software testing is a plus (ref:hirist.tech)
