Job Description :Exp : 3 to 5 Years of experienceSkills Required : Advanced Database Management Systems (DBMS) :- Deep knowledge of advanced features in DBMS such as Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc. - This includes understanding of partitioning, replication, high-availability configurations, and advanced storage engines.Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO) : - Skills in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, understanding execution plans, indexing strategies, and SQL query optimization. Data Modeling and Database Design :- Experience in designing complex database schemas based on business requirements. Knowledge of normalization, ER models, and data warehousing principles.Backup and Disaster Recovery :- Advanced understanding of backup strategies, point-in-time recovery, failover clustering, log shipping, and disaster recovery planning and testing.Security :In-depth knowledge of database encryption, access controls, audit logging, and vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive data and comply with data protection regulations.Cloud Database Management :- Experience with cloud-based database services like Amazon RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL, or the deployment of databases in cloud environments. Understanding of cloud storage, computing resources, and cost optimization.Scripting and Automation :- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automating routine tasks, data migration, and system administration tasks.Data Integration and ETL Processes :Skills in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, and tools for data integration, data migration, and transformation. Familiarity with ETL tools like Talend, Informatica, or SSIS.Monitoring and Alerting Tools :Experience with database monitoring tools such as Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, or specific DBMS monitoring tools (e.g., Oracle Enterprise Manager, SQL Server Management Studio) for real-time monitoring and alerting.NoSQL Databases :- Understanding of NoSQL database models (document, key-value, graph, and column-family) and experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, or Redis for handling unstructured data or specific use cases.DevOps and CI/CD :- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), including version control (e.g., Git), and automated deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker).Certifications : - Database administration certifications (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server) are preferred but not mandatory.- Immediate Joiner to 30 days' Notice period (ref:hirist.tech)
