**Job Title: Driver** **Job Summary:** As a Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers or goods to their destinations. Your duties will include operating and maintaining the assigned vehicle, following traffic laws and regulations, and ensuring the comfort and safety of passengers or the security of goods during transit. **Responsibilities:** 1. **Safe Transportation:** Safely drive passengers or goods to their destinations while adhering to traffic laws and regulations. 2. **Vehicle Maintenance:** Perform routine checks and maintenance on the assigned vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. This includes checking oil levels, tire pressure, and brakes. 3. **Route Planning:** Plan efficient routes to minimize travel time and fuel consumption, while considering traffic conditions and passenger or delivery schedules. 4. **Customer Service:** Provide excellent customer service to passengers or clients by being polite, courteous, and helpful. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking as needed. 5. **Loading and Unloading:** Load and unload goods or assist passengers with their belongings as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of items. 6. **Documentation:** Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger or delivery logs as required by company policies and regulations. 7. **Emergency Response:** Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations, such as accidents or vehicle breakdowns, by following established procedures and ensuring the safety of passengers or goods. 8. **Adherence to Policies:** Follow company policies and procedures regarding vehicle operation, safety standards, and professional conduct. **Requirements:** 1. **Valid Driver’s License:** Possess a valid driver’s license appropriate for the type of vehicle being operated. 2. **Clean Driving Record:** Maintain a clean driving record with no major traffic violations or accidents. 3. **Physical Fitness:** Ability to sit for extended periods and lift heavy objects if required for loading and unloading. 4. **Knowledge of Traffic Laws:** Familiarity with local and state traffic laws and regulations. 5. **Communication Skills:** Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with passengers, clients, and coworkers. 6. **Reliability:** Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to meeting schedules and deadlines. 7. **Safety Consciousness:** Strong commitment to safety practices and procedures to ensure the well-being of passengers, clients, and oneself. 8. **Flexibility:** Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed. **Preferred Qualifications:** 1. **Experience:** Previous experience as a driver, particularly in a commercial or passenger transport capacity, is preferred. 2. **Knowledge of Vehicle Maintenance:** Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures is an asset. 3. **First Aid Certification:** Certification in basic first aid and CPR is advantageous. 4. **Multilingualism:** Ability to speak multiple languages, especially if serving a diverse clientele, is beneficial. **Working Conditions:** The role may involve long hours of driving, exposure to varying weather conditions, and occasional lifting of heavy objects.
