Android Developer-IVIJob Title : Android In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) Software EngineerLocation : Viman Nagar, PunePermanent PositionMandatory Skills : Android, Kotlin, Java, IVI (In Vehicle Infotainment)Notice period : 0-15 days.Job Summary :We are seeking an experienced Android In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and maintaining Android applications specifically tailored for automotive environments. As a key member of our IVI software team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Android-based features for seamless integration into vehicles.Responsibilities :- Design, develop, and maintain Android applications for In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, UX/UI designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.- Optimize system performance and ensure stability, responsiveness, and reliability of the IVI software.- Implement connectivity features such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and mobile data for seamless integration with smartphones and other devices.- Integrate third-party APIs and SDKs to enhance IVI functionality and user experience.- Implement vehicle-specific features such as navigation, multimedia playback, voice recognition, and vehicle diagnostics.- Conduct code reviews, write unit tests, and ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.- Stay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends, tools, and technologies.- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the IVI software team.- Collaborate with automotive manufacturers and suppliers to customize and integrate IVI software solutions into their vehicles.Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Android application development, with a focus on automotive or embedded systems.- Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin programming languages.- Extensive experience with Android SDK, NDK, and Android Studio.- Solid understanding of Android framework components such as Activities, Fragments, Services, and Broadcast Receivers.- Experience with version control systems such as Git.- Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.- Familiarity with automotive protocols and standards such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.- Prior experience working with automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers is a plus.- Experience working on Automotive IVI (In Vehicle Infotainment) with Automotive Android or Linux- Excellent understanding of design principles and implementation of MVVM for Android or Android- Experience working with BLE in Android or Linux- Experience with Android HALs and JNI/JNA experience- Windowing management, and boot optimization for graphics for Linux and Android (ref:hirist.tech)
