Role : Database AdministratorResponsibilities :- Manage SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases efficiently.- Configure and maintain database servers and associated processes.- Proactively monitor system health and performance.- Facilitate database patches, upgrades, and migrations.- Uphold high standards of performance, availability, sustainability, and security.- Address and resolve issues promptly in real-time.- Offer insights and recommendations for enhancing database solutions.- Streamline and automate routine processes while maintaining meticulous documentation.- Collaborate with developers to fine-tune queries and refine schemas.- Provide round-the-clock support for crucial production systems.- Execute scheduled maintenance and support after-hours release deployments.Requirements :- Minimum 5 years of experience as a SQL Server or PostgreSQL DBA or in a similar capacity.- Proficiency with AWS or equivalent cloud platforms for at least 3 years.- Extensive background (5 years) in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO).- Solid expertise (5 years) in backups, restores, and recovery models.- Thorough understanding (5 years) of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server and PostgreSQL.- Competence in Windows server, Linux systems, and shell scripting.- Demonstrated sense of ownership and dedication to achieving company goals.- Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.- Ability to work effectively within a team.- Excellent time management skills.- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
