You need to have atleast 7 years of experience and a max of 9 years working with technologies in this space:- React (or VueJS or similar Single Page Application technology)- NodeJS (Go or comparable API layer technology)- Okta (or comparable SSO solution for security layer)- Databases (MongoDB and/or SQL variants required, Databricks a plus)You Bring:- Proven experience as a software engineer who has worked on a secure, scalable and refined front end web application with a distributed engineering team.- Experience contributing to and leading development around a common SPA based application, secured by an Okta type SSO solution, driven off of Node type APIs and developed with multiple developers contributing to the code base.- The application worked on prior should have been in service for at least a year, undergoing routine library maintenance and upgrades and the applicant must demonstrate competence around managing and implementing those upgrades.- Experience developing complete features starting from use cases and design plans and flushing out end to end solutions in concert with backend and tool development teams.- Ability to work and eventually lead a team of developers to produce quality and consistent code in an iterative fashion promoting healthy agile principles, encouraging code reviews and helping to mentor newer team members while being flexible to the demands of a small organization.- Detail oriented focus on both the engineering and delivery of features and the overall health of the codebase.Role Responsibilities:- To contribute to and help take an ownership role around the code base and overall project that drives the Opsera Portal (via React). To develop key new features and capabilities in the application, improve the overall user experience, perform peer reviews of other contributors, ensure coding and UI design standards are followed and help resolve merge conflicts that arise.- To help the team align on their work and ensure they are using consistent coding practices, shared libraries and following standards of the overall Engineering Organization.- To ensure libraries remain secure and up to date, technical debt is managed and to support developers who need help working in the project.- Manage and contribute to shared common component libraries (internal and external) and facilitating team collaboration while ensuring standards are met.- Ensure UI consistency across the application with a detailed focus on the layout and consistency between screens as well as the code base and its order.- Continually demonstrate high competence around security and technology architecture in use from a client/server perspective and staying up to date on latest library releases and where the industry is going.- You will work in limited capacity with NodeJS secure API that supports the front end client, managing JWT tokens, querying databases and handling exceptions, logging and other security constructs.- You will handle external security tests, PEN tests as well as mitigation projects and planning- You will develop complex RBAC models and maintain other access controls in the application, ensure audit logging on key actions and enhance personal access token based capabilities for customer accessible API's and other parallel actions to the UI.
