Position Overview :We are seeking an experienced IBM MQ Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of our IBM MQ infrastructure. They will ensure the smooth functioning of message queuing systems, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and implement best practices to optimize performance and reliability.Key Responsibilities : - Install, configure, and maintain IBM MQ software across multiple environments.- Monitor queue managers, channels, and queues for performance and stability.- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to message delivery, connectivity, and system errors.- Implement security measures to protect sensitive data transmitted through message queues.- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement message flows and integrations.- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.- Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.- Stay current with IBM MQ updates, patches, and best practices.Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.- Proven experience as an IBM MQ Administrator or similar role.- Strong knowledge of IBM MQ architecture, configuration, and administration.- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or PowerShell.- Experience with monitoring tools such as IBM Tivoli Monitoring or Nagios.- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.- Familiarity with IBM WebSphere Application Server and other middleware technologies is a plus.- IBM MQ certification is desirable but not required.Soft Skills :- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.- Adaptability and a willingness to learn new technologies.
