Job Title: Sr Manager-- QA & Process Improvement Location: Pune, India Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Manager to join our life science software product development company. As the QA leader, you will be responsible for leading and managing the quality assurance team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our clients in the life science industry. This job requires working with the Xybion global teams and also talking to customers globally. Working experience with Life Sciences companies globally is required. Responsibilities: Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the QA team, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance evaluations. Set goals and objectives for the QA team and ensure they are aligned with the overall business objectives. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the QA team. Quality Assurance Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement the overall QA strategy and roadmap for the organization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality standards, processes, and methodologies for software development. Plan and allocate resources effectively to achieve project goals and meet deadlines. Setting quality standards for the teams in various new testing technologies in the industry. This may include finding new strategies for automation testing and day-to-day work processes. Quality Assurance Execution: Oversee the design and implementation of test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Review and analyze software requirements and design specifications to identify potential quality issues. Conduct and oversee functional, integration, system, and regression testing to ensure software meets quality standards. Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes. Quality Metrics and Reporting: Define and track key quality metrics to measure the effectiveness of QA processes and identify areas for improvement. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on the status of quality assurance activities. Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to communicate quality-related information and address any concerns or issues. Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, standards, and guidelines (e.g., FDA, ISO). Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to life science software development and quality assurance. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus. Proven experience (15+ years) in quality assurance, preferably in a life science software product development environment. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. In-depth knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, processes, and tools. Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools. Familiarity with life science industry regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, ISO). Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions. Certifications such as ISTQB or Six Sigma are desirable.
