Role : Senior Software EngineerLocation : Bangalore IIJob Description :A Senior Moodle Developer with extensive experience in maintaining and customizing Learning Management Systems (LMS), particularly Moodle. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in web-based application development, with a focus on Moodle maintenance, customization, and troubleshooting.Responsibilities :- Create, design, test, and implement web-based applications tailored for the Moodle platform.- Identify and rectify bugs within Moodle, troubleshoot issues, and provide effective solutions.- Collaborate with team members to assist in the upgrading and maintenance of the Moodle LMS.- Develop efficient code structures to address specific tasks and enhance Moodle functionality.- Program, test, and debug all web-based applications, ensuring high quality and reliability.- Coordinate and execute intranet web updates and changes to the Moodle website.- Familiarity with e-learning standards such as SCORM and LTI is preferred.- Experience in integrating third-party tools and services with Moodle.- Knowledge of database management systems, particularly MySQL, for efficient data handling within Moodle.- Ability to analyze user requirements and translate them into technical specifications for Moodle customization.- Strong understanding of user experience (UX) design principles to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces within Moodle.- Proven track record of successfully implementing custom solutions and enhancements to meet organizational objectives within Moodle.- Ability to stay updated with the latest developments in Moodle and e-learning technologies, and to adapt to evolving best practices.- Experience in training and mentoring junior developers or team members on Moodle development practices and methodologies.- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.- Commitment to maintaining high standards of code quality, security, and performance in Moodle development projects.Requirements :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.- 4 to 5 years of professional experience in web-based application development, with a strong focus on Moodle maintenance and customization.- Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other relevant web technologies.- Extensive knowledge of Moodle architecture, modules, and plugins.- Experience in identifying and resolving bugs within Moodle, and troubleshooting related issues.- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.- Experience in coordinating and implementing intranet web updates and changes.- Certifications in Moodle development or administration are a plus.
