About the Role:We are seeking a highly motivated Presales Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in the presales cycle for compute and storage solutions, working closely with the sales team to identify customer requirements, design optimal solutions, and ultimately close deals. You will leverage your in-depth technical knowledge and strong communication skills to ensure our customers receive the best-fit, cost-effective solutions for their business needs.Responsibilities:Technical Expertise:- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer use cases, challenges, and application needs.- Design and size on-premises server, storage, and HCI (Hyperconverged Infrastructure) solutions based on specific customer requirements.- Utilize your expertise in data backup solutions to design and implement effective backup strategies.- Possess strong knowledge of storage protocols like SMB, NFS, iSCSI, FC, and NVMeoF.- Leverage expertise in at least 3 OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) sizing tools (e.g., HPE OCA, Dell EMC configurator, NetApp Fusion tool, etc.) to configure and present optimal solutions.- Conduct Proof-of-Concept (POC) demonstrations for critical use cases, showcasing the value proposition of proposed solutions.Customer Engagement:- Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers at customer accounts.- Collaborate with customers to understand their post-sales expectations and define the scope of work for deployment.- Prepare and deliver clear, concise presentations to explain proposed solutions and data flow to technical and non-technical audiences.- Proactively identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within customer accounts.Partnerships and Collaboration:- Maintain strong relationships with major OEMs like HPE, Cisco, Dell EMC, Lenovo, NetApp, Nutanix, VMware, Citrix, Rubrik, Veeam, Veritas, and Commvault.- Work closely with these partners to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and offerings.Communication and Documentation:- Possess excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.- Fluency in English is a must.- Create clear and concise schematic diagrams to illustrate complex solutions (e.g., backup, virtualization/HCI, storage DR) for customer presentations.Required Skills and Experience:- 10-12 years of experience in designing and sizing complex on-premises server and storage solutions for various OEMs (HPE, Lenovo/IBM, Dell EMC, Hitachi Vantara, NetApp, Cisco UCS, Cisco HyperFlex, Pure Storage, Rubrik).- Hands-on experience with various operating systems (Microsoft Windows, Red Hat) and virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, KVM, HCI platforms, and Container platforms).- Strong understanding of the principles and operation of backup and archival solutions (Rubrik, Veritas, EMC Networker, EMC Data Domain, Veeam, Commvault, Acronis, etc.).- Proven ability to deliver compelling presentations and explain technical solutions effectively.Desired Skills and Certifications (Preferred):- Product and technology certifications from major vendors (e.g., HPE, Dell EMC, Cisco, VMware, etc.).- Familiarity with OEM subscription licensing models (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, Oracle, RHEL, SAP HANA).
