Job Title : Software Development Engineer 3 (SDE 3)Location : Delhi (On-site)Company Overview : We are building India's largest ecosystem for electric vehicles with a mission to decarbonize and transition India's commercial fleets to electric. The company owns and manages one of the largest fleets of electric vehicles in the country and plans to deploy over 1 million EVs on the road in the next 5 years. We are based out of Research & Innovation Park in IIT Delhi and founded by serial sustainability founders and backed by institutional investors across four continents.Job Summary :As the "Software Development Engineer 3" at Alt Mobility, you will be part of our product engineering team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge EV solutions while leveraging your expertise in engineering management. This role requires a deep understanding and passion for electric vehicle technology, engineering principles, and a passion for driving innovation in the mobility sector. You will play a pivotal role in building and fostering a culture of excellence within the software team.Key Responsibilities :Develop, implement, and maintain efficient and scalable backend solutions using JavaScript technologies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement backend architecture for our applications. Create and maintain APIs and web services for real-time data applications.Ensure the security, performance, and reliability of backend systemOptimize code and database queries for maximum efficiencyTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues as they ariseStay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers when necessary.Qualifications :Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.4+ years of professional experience as a JavaScript Backend Developer.Proficiency in the MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) stack.Experience working on real-time data applications.Strong knowledge of multiple JavaScript technologies and third-party packages.Solid understanding of backend development principles and best practices.Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Work with message queues, such as RabbitMQ, to handle asynchronous tasks efficiently.Utilize both SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB, for data storage and retrieval.Implement caching strategies using technologies like Redis.Experience with cloud based technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud etc.). Preferred Experiences :Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Familiarity with server less architecture.Previous experience with micro-services architecture.Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal projects.
