Job Title : Quality Engineer Essential Functions And Basic Duties :- Responsible for leading the SQA effort on major products / releases- Responsible for creating test schedules, detailing test cases, test plans, and consolidating, and reporting test results- Responsible for using latest Microsoft technologies to design and maintain automation for existing and new products- Set up test environments for automation activities- Track test coverage and key metrics- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA processes and ensure repeatability- Be a technology champion/mentor and work with others to effectively use new technology to build effective automation- Interact with other departments to gather/understand business requirements.- Ensures strong commitment to on-time, quality delivery of all projects and deliverables - Must be assertive and willing to escalate issues when a project/task is negatively impacted Qualifications :- BS or MS in Computer Science or other engineering degree or equivalent experience- 5+ years experience working in SQA Test Engineer role on software development projects- 5+ years experience in programming with C/C++/C# or Java- Test Automation experience with GUI (HTTP/XML, JAVA, web services) and non-GUI applications (API, databases)- Experience with RDBMS and SQL , SQL Server Preferred- 3+ yrs of test automation experience using at least 1 commercial or open source test tool (Preferred Selenium, Ready API)- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Git, AZDO, JIRA, Confluence- Experience working with distributed teams is a plus- Experience with iterative development and agile methodologies- Experience working with distributed teamsEH&S REQUIREMENTS :- Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements- Report to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards- Attend scheduled EH&S training program- Actively support the organization's efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans- Recommend improved EH&S practices (ref:hirist.tech)
