Position Overview :As the Data Scientist - Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing a team of data scientists to develop and deploy cutting-edge solutions that solve complex business problems. You will be responsible for driving innovation, providing technical leadership, and delivering high-quality results that drive business impact.Key Responsibilities :- Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise to drive performance and career development.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, identify opportunities, and develop data-driven solutions that address business challenges.- Design and implement end-to-end data science projects, including data collection, preprocessing, feature engineering, model development, and deployment.- Apply various machine learning algorithms and deep learning techniques to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful insights.- Utilize statistical data analysis and data visualization techniques to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.- Set up and manage a data science team, including hiring, onboarding, and performance management.- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment of data science initiatives with business objectives.- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and AI technologies, and champion best practices within the team.- Collaborate with software engineers to design and develop data-driven services and applications that integrate with existing systems.- Act as a subject matter expert in a specific area of ML/data science/statistics, providing thought leadership and guidance to the team and the organization.Required Skills and Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.- Advanced degree (Master's/Ph.D.) preferred.- 10-12 years of experience in data science, with a proven track record of leading successful data science projects and teams.- Proficiency in Python, C++, R, or other relevant programming languages, along with version control tools such as Git.- Practical understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, with the ability to write complex queries and perform data manipulation tasks.- Experience in applying various machine learning algorithms and deep learning techniques to solve real-world problems.- Strong background in statistical data analysis and data visualization, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.- Experience working in project teams, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.- Experience in setting up and managing a data science team, including hiring, training, and performance management.- In-depth knowledge in a specific area of ML/data science/statistics, with a track record of publishing research or contributing to open-source projects.- Experience in the design and development of services and applications, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
