Description:
Responsibilities: As a Data Engineer, your day-to-day work activities will be as follows:- SQL Server DB Development: Develop stored procedures, functions, triggers, indexes, and perform SQL queries to support data requirements.- Power BI and SSRS: Utilize Power BI and SSRS to create insightful and visually appealing reports and dashboards.- Must have 2 years of recent work experience out of an overall 7-10 years of total experience.- SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services): Design, create, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using SSIS to connect to multiple data sources.- Troubleshooting: Demonstrate strong debugging skills across various technologies including SQL Server, Power BI, SSRS, and SSIS.- Power Pivot: Provide support to business users in fixing Excel spreadsheets for data analysis using Power Pivot.- PowerShell Scripting: Manage existing scripts that interact with Power BI tenants, ensuring efficiency and reliability.- SharePoint: Administer the existing reporting portal in SharePoint, ensuring smooth functioning and user accessibility.- VBA (Visual Basic for Applications): Understand and manage existing custom legacy reports and dashboards developed using VBA.Requirements: Candidates are required to have these mandatory skills: - Proven experience (7-10 years) as a Data Engineer or similar role.- Strong proficiency in SQL Server database development, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and indexes.- Experience with Power BI and SSRS, with at least 2 years of recent work experience.- Proficiency in SSIS for ETL processes and data integration.- Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills across multiple technologies.- Familiarity with Power Pivot for Excel data analysis.- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation tasks.- Experience administering SharePoint sites for reporting purposes.- Knowledge of VBA for managing custom legacy reports and dashboards.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
