SALARY : 12LPA - 15LPAThe ideal candidate should have extensive experience in maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux based systems. The Linux Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our servers and related infrastructure, implementing security measures, and optimizing system performance.Responsibilities:- Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and related software.- Monitor system performance and implement performance tuning as needed.- Troubleshoot system and network problems, and resolve hardware and software issues.- Implement and maintain security protocols to ensure the protection of data and system integrity.- Monitor system backups and ensure data recovery in case of failures.- Create and maintain documentation related to system configuration, processes, and procedures.- Collaborate with other teams to ensure the seamless integration of Linux systems with other IT infrastructure.- Conduct regular system updates, patches, and upgrades.- Maintain and configure network services, including DNS, DHCP, and IPTables.- Evaluate system performance and recommend hardware upgrades, including new installations, to improve system capacity or performance.- Automate routine tasks and procedures using scripting languages and automation tools.- Respond to and resolve technical issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal downtime.- Stay updated with the latest developments in Linux technologies and implement best practices.- Installation, configuration and management of Apache, Nginix, PHP, MY SQL FTP Servers etc.- Installation, configuration and management of Anti-Virus End Points, WAF etc.- Deploy, Configure and Monitor backup agents & Storage spaces- Handle Level L2 Escalations, and adhere to escalation matrix- Support Customers over Email, Help desk and Calls- Provide necessary information/observations/logs & all required support to next level for diagnose a reported/escalated problem- Knowledge of Amazon Web services & Azure Deployment & Migration, Virtualization, Backup Tools, Disaster recovery etc.- Good sense of end-user satisfaction- Ability to describe incident and requests as part of ticket treatment- Ability to create and update operational procedures (issues resolution, requests, administration procedures)Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.- Proven work experience as a Linux Administrator or in a similar role.- In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems, particularly RedHat, CentOS, and Ubuntu.- Proficiency in shell scripting and automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.- Experience in managing virtualized environments, such as VMware or KVM.- Familiarity with cloudservices, particularly AWS or Azure.- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.- Relevant certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified System Administrator) are a plus.
