About the Role :We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Staff SRE to join our DevOps Engineering team. In this critical role, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines and automation infrastructure. You will leverage your expertise in Python, Bash scripting, GitLab, Rundeck, Terraform, and AWS to ensure the efficient, reliable, and scalable operation of our production systems. You will also collaborate closely with software development teams to promote a culture of DevOps and continuous improvement.Responsibilities :Automation & Scripting :- Design, develop, and maintain automation code in Python and Bash to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments.CI/CD Orchestration :- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Rundeck for continuous integration and delivery of software applications.Production Incident Management :- Diagnose and debug production incidents effectively to resolve issues promptly and minimize downtime.- Analyze root causes and implement improvements to prevent future occurrences.On-Call Support :- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to provide timely support for production incidents.Collaboration and Mentorship :- Collaborate effectively with software development teams to bridge the gap between development and operations.- Mentor junior engineers and share your knowledge of DevOps principles and best practices.Project Management :- Manage multiple automation projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to ensure high-quality deliverables and timely completion.Leadership and Accountability :- Demonstrate strong accountability and ownership in delivering assigned tasks.- Provide leadership within the team and be a trusted resource for resolving complex and urgent issues.Qualifications :- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) or DevOps Engineering role.- Proven experience in automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments using scripting languages like Python and Bash.- In-depth knowledge of CI/CD principles and experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab and Rundeck.- Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.- Solid understanding of AWS cloud services and experience in automating AWS deployments (a plus).- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex production issues.- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.- A passion for automation and continuous improvement.
