About the Role :Are you a passionate software test engineer with a strong foundation in SQL and a desire to work with Big Data? We're seeking a highly motivated DWH QA Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our Data Warehouse. In this role, you will leverage your SQL expertise and understanding of data structures to design and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts specifically tailored for Data Warehouse workloads within Azure DevOps (ADO).Responsibilities :Test Planning and Execution :- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scripts to effectively test the functionality and performance of the DWH.- Utilize SQL queries to analyze and understand data structures within the DWH.- Execute test cases and scripts to identify and report data quality issues.Data Warehousing Expertise :- Collaborate with data engineers and other stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of data ingestion, transformation, and processing workflows within the DWH.- Ensure test plans address the entire data lifecycle, from data loading to transformation and final presentation.- Identify potential issues with data integrity and data cleansing processes.Azure Cloud Integration :- Leverage experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure DevOps to automate testing processes and integrate seamlessly with CI/CD pipelines.- Participate in discussions and provide feedback on the implementation of these Azure services for data quality management.Communication and Collaboration :- Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders, to ensure clear communication and alignment on testing requirements and results.- Document test plans, test cases, and findings in a clear and concise manner.Qualifications :- 3-6 years of experience in software test engineering, with a focus on data quality or data warehousing (preferred).- Strong understanding of SQL and the ability to write complex queries to extract and analyze data.- Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and testing methodologies.- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, or similar data integration tools (a plus).- Experience with Azure DevOps for test case management and automation (a plus).- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data quality.
