It remains a significant player in the technology sector, contributing to advancements in product engineering and digital solutions on a global scale.About The Job : The foundational skills are the basic building blocks that are common to every developer at NetNumber without regard to the area of focus.- As a Senior Software Engineer I the focus is on applying and enhancing knowledge or skill.- It is expected that you have applied this competency to situations occasionally while needing minimal guidance to perform successfully.- It is also expected that you understand and can discuss the application and implications of changes to processes, policies, and procedures in this area.Essential Job Functions : (Datacom).- Demonstrates the ability to work with at least one networking protocol from a maintenance perspective.- Working knowledge of protocol design.- Demonstrates the ability to use protocol analysis tools to solve problems (Wireshark, Protocol Analyser etc).- Demonstrated an understanding networking and can resolve problems related to network configuration issues. Technical Responsibilities :(Senior Architect/Principal engineer responsibility).- Independently designs a complete project, system, component, or process.- Prepares complete project documents.- Designs and conducts experiments and analyzes and interprets data.- Formulates and solves problems Performs basic design task.- Assists on other tasks such as:- basic coding, testing and administration.- Independently competent with Java (understanding of object oriented concepts, syntax, etc.- Familiarity with an integrated design environment (IDE) and tools required to write software.- Independently competent with Linux or Unix operating system.- Working knowledge of computer networking with protocols such as TCP, UDP and SCTP.- Competent with other languages such as C/C++ is a plus. Managerial Responsibilities.- Assists in determining schedule and budget requirements.- Coordinates with technical and/or administrative staff.- Direction Received.- Proactively seeks guidance when necessary on unconventional or complex problems, direction on modified techniques, and innovative approaches on assignments with conflicting criteria.- Communication Skills.- Interacts with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others.- Attends project meetings and presents specific aspects of engineering assignments.- Processes effective oral and written communication skills.- Assists with client, customer, or official contacts and communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings (ref:hirist.tech)
