Skill: Sr. BI TesterWork location: Initial 1 week in Chennai; later will be remoteDuration: Long term.Deployment mode: Contract / FTEStart date: ImmediateResponsibilities:- Collaborate with business analysts and BI developers to understand business requirements and translate them into test cases.- Develop comprehensive test plans and test scenarios for BI reports, dashboards, and data analytics solutions.- Identify test data requirements and work with data engineers to ensure test data availability.- Execute test cases according to established test plans and schedules.- Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing of BI solutions.- Validate data accuracy, completeness, and integrity in BI reports and dashboards.- Document defects and issues identified during testing using appropriate defect tracking tools.- Work closely with developers to reproduce and troubleshoot issues.- Verify defect fixes and ensure resolution meets acceptance criteria.- Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices in BI testing.- Perform root cause analysis of defects and provide recommendations for improvement.- Participate in peer reviews of test cases and test results.- Communicate test results, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders and project teams.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, and project managers.- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the testing teamQualifications:- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on Business Intelligence testing.- Proficiency in testing BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik sense, or similar.- Strong SQL skills for data validation and querying.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
