Job Description:We are seeking a skilled Linux middleware programmer with extensive experience in working with On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) devices. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining middleware software solutions for Linux-based platforms, with a focus on integrating and interfacing with OBD devices.Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain middleware software components for Linux-based systems.- Implement communication protocols and drivers to interface with OBD devices.- Collaborate with hardware engineers and other software developers to ensure seamless integration of OBD functionality into our products.- Perform troubleshooting and debugging of software and hardware issues related to OBD integration.- Optimize system performance and resource utilization for OBD-related functionalities.- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in OBD technology to continuously improve our products.Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.- Proficiency in Linux system programming and development, including experience with kernel-level programming.- Strong understanding of networking protocols and communication interfaces.- Experience working with OBD-II standards and protocols.- Familiarity with CAN bus communication and diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).- Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages.- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools.- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.Preferred Qualifications:- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.- Previous experience in automotive or embedded systems development.- Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded Linux distributions.- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices for automotive systems.- Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.Location:- This position is based at our Bengaluru office (ref:hirist.tech)
