About the Role :We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer (QA) to join our growing team. In this entry-level role, you will gain valuable experience in functional testing across various application types, contributing to the quality and reliability of our software products.Responsibilities :Functional Testing :- Perform manual and exploratory testing of browser-based applications, mainframe applications, and ISO 20022 XML file validation.- Identify and report software defects using a bug tracking system (e.g., JIRA or Microfocus ALM).- Collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.Test Data Management :- Assist in creating and managing test data for various testing environments, including mainframe systems.Test Automation (Optional) :- (For candidates with experience) Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Postman or Oxygen (a plus).- Leverage Excel macros to automate testing processes involving Blue Zone screens (a plus).Tools and Technologies :- Gain proficiency in using JIRA, Microfocus ALM, and other relevant testing tools.- Utilize MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) effectively for creating test documentation and reports.- (Optional) Become familiar with Power BI for data analysis and reporting (a plus).Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) :- Develop a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) with a focus on testing methodologies and processes.Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance.- Effective communication and collaboration skills.- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing environments.- A passion for technology and software testing.
