About the Role :We are seeking a highly skilled SAS and Python developer to join our team and play a key role in building, maintaining, and enhancing data-driven solutions. You will leverage your expertise in both languages to create robust and scalable applications throughout the entire product development lifecycle, from planning and design to quality assurance and deployment.Responsibilities :- Design, develop, and implement data processing pipelines and applications using SAS and Python.- Utilize big data technologies (Hadoop, HDFS, Hive) to manage and analyze large datasets.- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to create effective plans for application enhancements and bug fixes.- Ensure all development tasks meet high-quality standards through meticulous planning, design, and testing.- Implement robust automation frameworks and scenarios to streamline development processes.- Conduct rigorous testing and validation to identify and resolve issues proactively.- Mitigate business risks by ensuring timely and accurate execution of infrastructure changes.- Work independently under minimal supervision, adhering to established coding standards and project requirements.- Provide expert guidance and support throughout the entire product development lifecycle.Requirements :- Proven experience in SAS development, with a strong understanding of base SAS functionalities.- Solid statistical knowledge and a knack for analytical problem-solving.- Hands-on experience with Python and big data technologies (Hadoop, HDFS, Hive).- Familiarity with monitoring tools to track application performance and health.- Proficiency in development using SAS, Python, Spark, and potentially R languages.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with various teams.- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (SDLC, Agile) and best practices.- Previous experience working in the big data space with the Hadoop ecosystem is a plus.
