About the Role:We are seeking a talented Solution Architect to join our team and play a key role in designing and implementing innovative big data solutions. You will be responsible for translating business needs into scalable, reliable, and high-performance technology architectures, leveraging your expertise in Databricks and other big data technologies. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure solutions align with the overall enterprise architecture and industry best practices.Responsibilities:- Design and implement big data solutions using Databricks, Spark, and other relevant technologies.- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.- Architect scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions on the cloud platform of choice (AWS, Azure, GCP).- Work with developers and data engineers to implement and optimize solutions.- Ensure solutions adhere to enterprise architecture guidelines and industry best practices.- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in big data technologies and cloud platforms.Requirements (Must-Haves):- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Apache Spark (experience beyond traditional Hadoop is essential)- Hands-on experience with advanced SQL and at least one of Python, Scala, or Java- Expertise in at least one of the core data roles: Data Engineering, Data Analytics & BI, or Machine Learning Engineering- Proven experience with a public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) and its native data management services (e.g., EMR, Athena, SageMaker, Synapse Analytics, Azure ML, Dataflow, BigQuery)- Solid understanding of cloud architecture fundamentals (networking, object storage, security & IAM)Bonus: - Experience with Databricks implementation/migration projects and Databricks CertificationDesired Skills (Good-to-Haves):- Experience with data orchestration or ingestion tools- Skills in performance tuning Spark and distributed query engines- Knowledge of cloud best practices for data movement and governance frameworks- Experience with cloud DevOps and infrastructure-as-code solutions (Terraform, CloudFormation) (ref:hirist.tech)
