Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in managing, securing, and troubleshooting our network infrastructure.The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Cisco routing, switching, and security solutions, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement.Responsibilities:- Manage and troubleshoot network-related issues, ensuring optimal network performance and user experience.- Utilize network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, Packet Tracer) to diagnose and resolve network problems efficiently.- Track daily network incidents, handle escalations, and perform root cause analysis (RCA) to identify preventive measures.- Collaborate with the 24/7 support team to review P1 (high priority) incidents and implement corrective actions.- Act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) between L2 Engineers and the client's technical team.- Provide on-call support to on-site engineers during off-shift hours.- Lead and mentor a team of network engineers, fostering a collaborative and learning environment.- Regularly monitor and evaluate team member performance based on feedback and metrics.- Develop and implement training programs to enhance service delivery, technical skills, and team motivation.- Adhere to ITIL service delivery processes to ensure consistent and high-quality service.- Participate in management meetings as required.- Review Plans of Action (POA) before submission to the Change Advisory Board (CAB).Requirements:- Proven hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies.- In-depth knowledge of network security principles and experience with firewall solutions (ASA or Palo Alto).- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in Cisco environments.- Familiarity with routing protocols like EIGRP and BGP (a plus).- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to teamwork (ref:hirist.tech)
