Description:

Job Description : 1) Design, Build, and Maintain Apigee Infrastructure : This involves the creation, management, and upkeep of the infrastructure needed for Apigee, including defining the overall API architecture.2) API Management : Define and implement strategies for API architecture, integration, deployment, versioning, and monetization. This includes ensuring adherence to best practices, governance, and CI/CD methodologies.3) API Gateway Solutions : Design and implement solutions for API gateway functionalities, ensuring they align with architectural guidelines and best practices.4) Technical Problem Solving : Lead sessions to solve technical issues faced by application teams trying to onboard to the Apigee API Gateway.Disaster Recovery Preparation : Facilitate disaster recovery exercises and ensure preparedness for catastrophic events.5) Production Support : Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to the Apigee platform, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.6) Documentation and Mentorship : Create and update documentation, and mentor junior engineers to enhance their Apigee knowledge and experience.7) Security and Authorization : Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms, ensuring compliance with API security standards such as OAuth and OpenID.8) Technical Specifications and Design Documents : Participate in requirements review meetings and create technical specifications and design documents.9)Implementation and Deployment : Prepare and execute implementation plans, ensuring adherence to best practices and principles.10) API Design and Enforcement : Design APIs in collaboration with development teams, enforce API specification standards, and review detailed designs.11) Monitoring and Logging : Utilize monitoring and logging tools for performance and issue tracking, such as Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, and Splunk.12) DevOps and CI/CD : Have significant experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD processes, especially deploying API proxies/products in Apigee.13) Proof of Concepts and Code Reviews : Develop proof of concepts as needed and conduct code reviews for APIs.14) Infrastructure Collaboration : Work with infrastructure teams to ensure the correct setup of servers, load balancers, firewalls, and monitoring systems (ref:hirist.tech)
