Description:
Role : AWS Security Engineer Responsibility :- Design and develop security architectures for cloud and cloud/hybrid-based systems within AWS.- Implement robust security measures and infrastructure to protect sensitive data and systems in the cloud, including encryption, access control, and network security configurations.- Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments to identify potential threats and weaknesses in the cloud setup.- Establish and maintain security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.- Automate security controls to reduce manual workload and improve response times for detecting and mitigating security incidents.- Lead and manage security incident response efforts, including forensic analysis and coordination with stakeholders.- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security practices within the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring secure code deployment and configuration management.- Provide feedback to AWS product teams about security-related features and potential areas for improvement based on real-world usage patterns.- Stay abreast of emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and controls; continuously educating self and team to maintain a cutting-edge approach to cloud securitySkills Required :Essential Skills :- AWS certifications: AWS Certified Security - Specialty, - Proficient in AWS security services and features of services to provide a secure production environment.- Knowledge of scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation of tasks and security checks.- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices integrating security into DevOps processes.Desired Skills :- Proven experience with incident response and digital forensics in cloud environments.- Excellent understanding of networking concepts and protocols, as well as experience with network security methods and tools.- Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving attitude with attention to detail.- Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively articulating security risks to technical and non-technical audiencesEducational Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related fieldExperience : - At least 8 years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role with a strong focus on AWS cloud servicesLocation : Anywhere in India (Preferred Kolkata / Mumbai) (ref:hirist.tech)
