Description:

Job Description :- Minimum 5+ years' experience as Vertica DBA- Minimum 2+ Years Experience as MYSQL DBA- Should have working experience in backup and restore, DB Upgrades, OS Patching, etc.- Implement data security measures to safeguard sensitive information stored in the databases.- Good Understanding on Vertica Concepts and experience on latest VersionsPerformance Tuning :- Monitor system's health and performance- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security- Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time- Provide suggestions for solutions- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes- Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours- Troubleshoot database issues and perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve underlying problems- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Witbe Scripting Expertise :- Proficient in Witbe scripting language and its functionalities (e.g., screen checking, OCR, jumps, utility functions)- Ability to develop automated test scripts for Set-Top Boxes (STBs) or other embedded devices using Witbe- Experience with creating robust and maintainable test scriptsTesting & Automation Knowledge :- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), particularly the testing phase- Experience with functional and regression testing methodologies- Familiarity with test automation concepts and best practicesTechnical Skills :- Basic programming knowledge (e.g., Python) for potential custom block development within Witbe- Understanding of automation frameworks or tools (may be beneficial)- Familiarity with operating systems like Windows or Linux (depending on the role)Additional Skills :- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality (ref:hirist.tech)
