Description:
Responsibilities :- Design, develop, and maintain PowerBuilder applications according to client requirements and specifications.- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and propose effective solutions.- Develop software modules, components, and features using PowerBuilder, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines.- Implement user interface components and features, including forms, data windows, and reports, to deliver intuitive and user-friendly applications.- Integrate PowerBuilder applications with databases, third-party APIs, and external systems, ensuring data integrity and system interoperability.- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and debugging to identify and resolve software defects and issues.- Optimize application performance and scalability through code refactoring, performance tuning, and optimization techniques.- Provide technical support and assistance to clients and end-users, troubleshooting issues, and providing guidance on system usage and best practices.- Document technical specifications, system architecture, and implementation details to facilitate knowledge sharing and support.- Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in PowerBuilder development, continuously enhancing skills and knowledge.Requirements :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.- 4-8 years of experience in PowerBuilder development, with proficiency in PowerBuilder versions 12.- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and software development methodologies.- Experience with relational databases, SQL, and stored procedures, particularly with SQL Server or Oracle.- Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git or SVN, and experience with agile development methodologies.- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
