Responsibilities :Gathering functional requirements, developing technical specifications, and project & test planningDesigning/developing web, software, mobile apps, prototypes, or proofs of concepts (POC's)Act in a technical leadership capacity: Mentoring junior engineers, new team members, and applying technical expertise to challenging programming and design problemsRoughly 70-85% hands-on codingResolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patchesWork cross-functionally with various Intuit teams: product management, QA/QE, various product lines, or business units to drive forward resultsContribute to the design and architecture of the projectExperience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologiesDelivering a complete front end applicationEnsuring high performance on mobile and desktopWriting tested, idiomatic, and documented JavaScript, HTML and CSSCoordinating the workflow between the graphic designer, the HTML coder, and yourselfCooperating with the back-end developer in the process of building the RESTful APIValidating user actions on the client side and providing responsive feedbackWriting non-blocking code, and resorting to advanced techniques such as multi-threading, when neededCreating custom, general use modules and components which extend the elements and modules of core AngularJSArchitecting and automating the build process for production, using task runners or scriptsCreating e2e test suites for all components, and running them with Protractor (or a well reasoned alternative)Creating configuration, build, and test scripts for Continuous Integration environmentsCreating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and componentsQualifications : Angular Typescript or Javascript developmentBachelor's/Master'sSkills & Experience :Full stack engineers, knowing Angular on the front end & Java/Python on the backend and 6+ years of experience developing web, software, or mobile applicationsBS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experienceStrong experience with any of the following Object Oriented Languages (OOD)Experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)5+ years of experience with web services (consuming or creating) with REST or SOAPSolid communication skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiencesStrong understanding of the Software design/architecture processExperience with unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD)Proficiency with JavaScript and HTML5Deep knowledge of Angular Typescript and Javascript practices and commonly used modules based on extensive work experienceExtensive knowledge of CSS and JS methods for providing performant visual effects and keeping the framerate above 30fps at all timesThorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the systemExperience with all levels of operation available to the front-end, such as from creating XHRs in vanillaJS to using a custom wrapper around resourceExperience with building the infrastructure for serving the front-end app and assets.
