Position Overview:We are seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Operations Manager to lead our cybersecurity team in safeguarding our organization's assets, data, and systems against cyber threats. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information security, extensive experience in managing security operations, and a proven track record of implementing effective security measures in complex organizational environments.Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of cybersecurity professionals, including remote teams and third-party vendors, to ensure the effective operation of security controls and processes.- Develop, document, and implement information security strategies, policies, and procedures in alignment with industry standards and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, NIST, CMMC, ISO 27001).- Implement and maintain security tools such as EDR/XDR, SIEM, Vulnerability Management, Privileged Access Management, and Privileged Remote Access to detect, prevent, and respond to security incidents.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify security risks, vulnerabilities, and threats, and develop mitigation plans to address them.- Lead cybersecurity incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery, to minimize the impact of security incidents.- Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and compliance checks to ensure adherence to security policies and regulatory requirements.- Provide guidance and support to IT and business units on security best practices, risk management, and compliance requirements.- Stay abreast of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies in the cybersecurity landscape and recommend proactive measures to enhance the organization's security posture.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in information systems, information cybersecurity, or a related field.- 7+ years of progressive experience in information security, with a focus on security operations.- Strong knowledge of information security principles, technologies, and best practices, including risk management, vulnerability management, incident response, and security operations.- Experience implementing and maintaining security tools such as EDR/XDR, SIEM, Vulnerability Management, Privileged Access Management, and Privileged Remote Access.- Experience working on cybersecurity incidents, from detection to resolution.- Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team of information security professionals, including remote teams and third-party vendors.- Experience developing, documenting, and implementing information security strategies, policies, and procedures in a complex organizational environment.- Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX) and industry standards (e.g., NIST, CMMC, ISO 27001).- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. - Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. - Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.This position entails access to export-controlled items, and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items (ref:hirist.tech)
