Description:
Experience:- 7+ years of hands-on experience managing and fine-tuning Oracle databases in an enterprise environment.- Proven experience in configuring, monitoring, tuning, and performing backup and restore for Oracle database servers.- Experience in supporting and implementing Oracle GoldenGate for data replication.- Experience in implementing and supporting Oracle on AWS, including RDS (Relational Database Service).- Expertise in writing code in SQL, PL/SQL, and Unix/Linux scripting languages.- Proficiency in at least one shell scripting language (e.g., Bash, Ksh).- Prior experience working within a Curam software development environment as a Curam DBA.Skills and Abilities:- Excellent analytical, technical, time management, and communication skills.- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment to establish and maintain effective working relationships.- Ability to participate in on-call rotations and occasional weekend work.- Strong understanding of advanced security practices and Oracle DataGuard replication.- Working knowledge of Oracle 19c, SharePoint, and JIRA.- Demonstrated practical skills with C program development and database schema design.Responsibilities:- Manage and maintain the health, performance, and security of critical Oracle databases in a Curam environment.- Perform configuration, monitoring, tuning, backup, and recovery for Oracle database servers.- Implement and support Oracle GoldenGate for high availability and data integration.- Manage Oracle deployments on AWS, including RDS instances.- Develop and maintain complex database objects, stored procedures, and scripts using SQL, PL/SQL, and Unix/Linux scripting languages.- Analyze performance bottlenecks and implement optimization strategies.- Participate in on-call rotations and occasional weekend support as needed.- Implement and maintain advanced security configurations using Oracle security features and DataGuard replication for disaster recovery.- Stay up-to-date on the latest Oracle technologies, Curam updates, and industry best practices.- Work collaboratively with software developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders to ensure database functionality meets business needs.
