Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Windows Performance Engineer to join our IT team. You will play a critical role in ensuring optimal performance of our Windows servers across all environments, including on-premises, virtualized platforms, and cloud deployments. This role requires a deep understanding of Windows internals, performance troubleshooting techniques, and a strong ability to analyze and resolve complex performance issues.Responsibilities : Windows Performance Optimization : - Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize Windows server performance across all versions of the Windows operating system.- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks affecting server responsiveness, stability, and resource utilization.- Configure and tune Windows components (BIOS, Registry, CPU, Memory, DNS, DHCP) for optimal performance.- Utilize advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues such as server crashes, boot failures, memory leaks, sluggish servers, and unresponsive applications.In-depth Windows Knowledge : - Possess a comprehensive understanding of user mode and kernel mode within the Windows environment.- Demonstrate expert knowledge of Windows registry keys and their impact on system behavior.- Analyze and configure memory dumps to diagnose root causes of performance issues.Technical Expertise : - Possess strong knowledge of Windows operating system architecture.- Effectively troubleshoot and resolve Windows issues using Command Prompt (CMD) scripting.- Utilize Microsoft Sysinternals tools for advanced troubleshooting and performance analysis.Virtualization and Cloud Experience : - Possess a good understanding of different virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix).- Effectively troubleshoot Windows performance issues on Azure and AWS cloud platforms.Problem-Solving and Analysis : - Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex performance issues.- Identify hidden processes contributing to memory leaks using various troubleshooting tools.Qualifications : - 8+ years of experience in Windows Administration, with a focus on performance tuning and troubleshooting.- Proven experience managing Windows server deployments in production environments, including customer support or facing roles.- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot performance issues across all Windows OS versions.- Excellent understanding of Windows components and their impact on system performance.- Strong knowledge of Windows troubleshooting techniques, including registry editing, memory dump analysis, and CMD scripting.- Familiarity with Sysinternals tools and performance optimization strategies.- Working knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix) and cloud deployments (Azure, AWS) is a plus.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.- Strong communication and collaboration skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team (ref:hirist.tech)
