Designation : VMware and Cloud EngineerQualification : Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.Experience : Minimum 5+ years of relevant working experience in VMware technologies (e.g., vCenter, ESXi, vSphere, etc.) along with proficiency in Linux operating systems. Experience with Nutanix is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in virtualization technologies and a proven track record of implementing and managing virtualized environments. Work Location : Bangalore (Karnataka)Work Mode : Hybrid (Should be ready to work from office as in when required)Working Hours : 7:00 PM - 4:00 AM / 8:00 PM - 5:00 AM (PST Hours)Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled VMWare and Cloud Engineer with expertise in Linux Operating Systems to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in virtualization technologies, cloud platforms, and a strong understanding of Linux systems. Experience with Nutanix will be considered a significant advantage.Job description :1. Design, implement, and manage virtualized environments using VMWare technologies.2. Deploy and configure cloud-based solutions, leveraging platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.3. Perform system administration tasks on Linux operating systems, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement scalable and secure infrastructure solutions.5. Monitor system performance and reliability, identifying and resolving issues proactively.6. Automate routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency and streamline operations.7. Ensure compliance with security best practices and regulatory requirements.8. Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and clients as needed.9. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance our infrastructure.Required Skills :1. Proven experience as a VMWare and Cloud Engineer, with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience.2. Strong proficiency in VMWare virtualization technologies, including vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.3. Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.4. Solid understanding of Linux operating systems, including CentOS, Ubuntu, or Red Hat.5. Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.6. Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.8. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.9. Relevant certifications such as VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a plus. (ref:hirist.tech)
