Overview :We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Manual Tester with expertise in Life Insurance functional testing and SQL. The ideal candidate will have 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in software quality assurance, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and techniques. As a Senior QA Manual Tester, you will be responsible for working on multiple phases of projects and/or multiple projects simultaneously, taking ownership of test areas, evaluating results, resolving issues, and providing guidance to junior team members.Responsibilities :Test Planning and Execution : - Take responsibility for a specific test area and conditions, including test planning, execution, and evaluation of results.- Select appropriate standards, methods, tools, and applications for project use.Quality Assurance Review : - Review quality assurance plans, data, procedures, and scripts.- Identify areas for improvement and suggest enhancements to existing processes.Test Case Creation : - Independently create test cases and assist in preparing evaluations.- Run tests and retests as necessary, executing test scripts within the assigned area of accountability.Issue Investigation : - Investigate defined issues with uncertain cause.- Gather data to identify and differentiate symptoms and root causes of problems.- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues effectively.Risk Identification : - Identify test issues, report risks, and define regression tests for current and future projects.- Ensure that all identified risks are properly documented and addressed.Traceability and Reporting : - Create traceability records, linking test cases back to requirements.- Report on system quality and collect metrics on test cases to monitor project progress and quality.Project Management : - Work on quality assurance projects using available test frameworks and tools, focusing on meeting project deadlines and budget goals.- Maintain project status and provide guidance to junior team members.Cross-Functional Collaboration : - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and facilitate problem resolution.Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.- 8 to 10 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on Life Insurance functional testing.- Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying.- Experience working on multiple phases of projects and/or multiple projects simultaneously.- Excellent understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex issues.- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.- Experience providing guidance and mentoring to junior team members.- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.- Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
